• The fair is only open to children ages 6-14 on the date of the fair.
• As part of the application, you’ll need to answer some basic questions to help you think through your business idea:
  • What product or service do you plan to sell?
  • What price will you charge for each product/service? How much will each product/service cost you?
  • How will you pay for your startup costs? If someone is helping you with your startup costs, how will you pay that person back?
  • How will you advertise/market your business before the fair?
  • At the end of the fair, how will you determine if your business was a success?

Once your registration has been accepted, your booth is reserved at the fair, so you can get to work creating your product, developing your brand, and sharpening your pitch.

Leading up to the day of the fair, you’ll be asked to submit a short video of your pitch and/or pictures of your finished product as a final precondition for participation.

As the Business Fair approaches, think about how you’re going to attract customers who might buy your product. With you’re approval, we’ll post your pitch and product photos to our Facebook and Instagram accounts so you can share them on social media and get the word out to your friends and family.

On the day of the fair, come prepared to sell to real customers for real money. Keep practicing your pitch, and think about how you’re going to present your product in the most attractive way. You get to keep everything you earn!

We will award 6 cash prizes ($50 each) to the best businesses in the following categories: Highest Business Potential, Most Original Business Idea, and Best Presentation (pitch and visual).

We will award two cash prizes for each category, one for the best business in the 6-10 age category and one in the 11-14 age category.
